Wings of Research and Analysis by Rcay

Excerpt from the preface of my book in progress

Wings of Research and Analysis by Rcay

I am a teacher by choice. As I am a teacher, I must be a researcher and a leader too. I can improve my teaching only by doing research. There is always scope for improvement. Research calls for a detached assessment of facts. So can I forward fake messages?  Definitely not. My political leanings should not color my thoughts.  Propaganda and other things should not carry me away. I should be able to think and arrive at my own conclusion.  I need to look at things in a detached way with a way to improvise when I am on the research path. Research is not just getting a Ph.D. or writing research papers. It is in looking at things in an impartial and transparent manner in finding the truth.  This is what is called a scientific temper.  Like many things, Research cannot be done in isolation. I have to take along my fellow human beings with me in this journey of life. I think it is a way of life. I cannot lose my temper just because someone questions my findings. Truth is always related to ethics.  That makes me empathetic and have consideration for people who dissent with me. I need to have compassion.  I can be a leader only when I am compassionate and have empathy, as these are essential qualities of a Leader. I cannot ridicule my opponents. I have to win over them by my words and deeds.

I think you are being hard on yourself. You demand too many positive attitudes in a researcher. It would be difficult to carry out research, but I find many researchers and P.hDs without them. Good luck with your research.

When the preface is so good, the book must be a great one. All the best to you on your venture 🙂

Happy Teacher’s day- belated, but well teachers are always revered and respected. Good luck for your book. What does the book deal in. Life is a continuous research on living with other human beings, and of exploring the world around us and Nature is a Great Teacher.

That sounds very interesting Rcay. We know to what low standards the morals of the people have fallen. What to speak of Plagiarism, they have no qualms about doing anything even murder. As regards the social media, the lesser be said the better it will be. Anywhere in the world, I haven’t seen such low standards of media coverage. Incidentally I posted one article, “Who is a good leader”, which in fact is a whatsapp forward. It is said to be written by an ex-IPS officer. It is worth reading.
