It is just amazing .
Math rules every second of our life.
The evolved persons of the yore insist that everything revolves around Math. There are people who hate Math and people who love it. But in schools, it was one subject where you could score full marks, unlike as in the Art subjects. If all the sums that one calculates, turns out to be correct, he or she gets hundred percent. At that moment the feelings are great . We feel right on top of the world.
Time is noted when we are born. The numbers are checked and the authenticity to the second is verified. That, if the number of seconds are recorded mistakenly, the whole horoscope of a person changes, is very true. If you believe in horoscopes, that is. But then, even horoscopes are guided/calculated by numbers. We have the presence of particular stars, the position of various planets at our birth time…everything is connected to numbers.
Even the death of a person involves numbers…time to the exact second.
In the Hindu almanac, one calculates the Thithi, karaNa etc. but even these are numbers. The thithis are calculated time slots. Thus we have Ekadasi, Dwthiya, Thrithiya, Chathurthi etc. all made up of numbers.
Our forefathers have predicted the events like Eclipses by merely calculating numbers involving the presence of planets. They did not ( do not ) use any scientific gadgets.
When we converse, we tell our friends “Wait a minute ” or “I’ll be back in a few seconds.”
“Give me a week’s time and I shall complete the job.”
Numbers again !!
Sixty seconds make a minute. Seven days make a week.Four weeks, a month and twelve months a year.
“I’ll be coming to pay another visit,,,may be next month.”
The layman who is ignorant of the measures of distances, may still seek the help of numbers saying
” Just walk, thirty steps to the right and then turn straight and walk another ten steps. You are there.”
There are those that predict that water may be found when you dig 120 feet in the dry ground , or some such thing. Numbers again.
The humans (women) carry the child in their wombs for nine months and nine days( of course, variations are always there ) before a child is born. The Doctor keeps referring to pregnancy in numbers..one week, two weeks, etc. etc.
The gestation period varies in each animal and eggs are hatched too, accordingly, some in sixteen days and some in twenty one or more. The birds and animals are aware of this.( Dr UNNi will know this ).
Even seasons are divided by numbers indirectly., though roughly, each season lives a full four months . The earth takes a day to go around the Sun, it is said. The moon takes twenty four hours to circle earth, it is said !
Even the BEATs or TAL in the field of music, is guided by numbers….like the Ada Thaalam, Roopaka ThaaLam etc.
I must mention here an interesting book that I read – “The Heart’s Code ” by Paul Pearsall, where in the author talks about a couple, the husband a Cardiologist and the wife, a Pianist.
And how, in a heart that is without any blemish ( the rhythm or timing of beats are perfect…in short the ECG is perfect )the heart beats produce a nice melody unlike those of a heart that is beset with problems. The number of seconds or minutes between the notes are perfect and produce melodious music. Rhythm – the numbers of heart beats – were converted into NOTES and the hole thing played on the Piano.
There are some who can think for just a few seconds and answer the question “What date was it in the year 1812, the month being March and the day , Friday in the third week?” . All of us have heard of the born genius Shakunthala Devi who could multiply or divide complicated numbers.
Recently I read somewhere that Shree Ramanujam had discovered that the only number divisible by the numbers one to ten without getting any remainder / balance was the number 2520. God knows how the Genius got it , Well that sums up the term “Genius ” I suppose.
The heart of Numerology is numbers. Numbers play a great part in human lives….so say those who believe in Numerology and even have the letters changed in their names. ‘
Well, I think I better stop this rambling lest someone says,
” Gosh! I have wasted so many minutes, reading this ! I could have spent that time wisely.”

Very interesting. God must be a good mathematician or else how could He have created this universe so perfectly balanced in all possible forms of energy, motion and rotation. Every object is suspended in space, billions and trillions of them and millions of light years away and yet, we don’t hear of any collisions and every celestial event occurs at a precise moment- Amazing it is really.
Wonderful analysis Navneet!!! Yes…what a perfect world He has given us and how imperfect we have made our lives and ruined the Gifts given by Him !!
