Jeff Bezos’ Blue origin launches NASA’s new lunar-landing-tech into space

The Indian Space Research Organization intends to send an uncrewed orbiter, lander and rover to the moon in the first half of 2018

(pic) Texas-based Southwest Research Institute had a magnetic asteroid-sampling experiment on board, as well as a mini rocket-fueling test.

Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin space company launched a New Shepard rocket for a seventh time from a remote corner of Texas on Tuesday, testing new lunar-lander designed by NASA.

The entire flight — barely skimming space with a peak altitude of 66 miles (106 kilometers) — lasted just 10 minutes. The booster landed vertically back at the launch complex after liftoff, and the capsule followed, parachuting onto the desert floor….

“Touchdown! New Shepard, here we go. I’m sorry you couldn’t hear me pounding the desk in my mic,” said launch commentator Caitlin Dietrich.

The capsule carried science experiments, including 1.2 million tomato seeds that will be distributed to schoolchildren around the U.S. and Canada, and tens of thousands of children’s postcards with space-themed drawings that will be returned to the young senders.

New Sheppard with  NASA’s new Lunar lander may be used  to land Astronauts on moon in year 2024.

Is this Jeff Bezos same who is the owner of Amazon? Space research is a very expensive vocation and it certainly tests the patience of those who indulge in it. It has been more than fifty years since Armstrong landed on the moon and I don’t think we have made great strides in this direction any further. And from the moon rock that has been brought on earth so far, the chances of finding gold up there seem very remote to me.

I don’t have that reach. I don’t know how to trade in NYSE listed companies and whether as an Indian individual I can invest in the International Stock markets and moreover whatever little that I dabble in Indian stock market is enough to keep me occupied and you can get good return for your money.

Hymn of Creation (Rig Veda)

By Suresh Rao | September 6, 2021

In ‘big bang theory’ postulated by modern astronomers, we believe that the Universe apparently began from nothingness. Everything in the Universe (stars, galaxies, suns, planets & their moons for example,) that we see today began after a ‘big bang’ or ‘explosion’ in ‘nothingness’ say our modern astronomers. Ancient rishis of Bharatavarsha (ancient land of Bharata) talked about…
