INDIA MOURNS DEMISE OF UAE PRESIDENT

India has declared a one-day state mourning on Saturday (14-05-22) as a mark of respect to UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan who died on Friday (13-05-22) at age 73.

In a communication issued by the Union Home Ministry to all states and union territories on Friday, the Government of India said there will be one day’s state mourning on May 14 across the country.

India and the UAE have signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with the aim of increasing bilateral merchandise trade to $100 billion by 2030.
