This blog post is a part of series “Amarnath Yatra 2011” which I undertook with my cousins in the summer of 2011.
After almost 18 hours of bus ride from chandigarh to Jammu-Kashmir we reached our first stop Pahalgam.
a lot of people brought their home cooked food (mostly biryani) and were seen enjoying picnic
In the next post I will share the start of our pad yatra and cover some beautiful breathtaking sceneries between chandanwadi and Sheshnag (the first day of the 3 day climb to the amarnath cave)

Yes, Ishu had posted this article while we were putting the site together. I also wanted to ask him to post more of it but forgot. Let him tell him right away. Yes, Rating has been removed. Some other changes also have been made in the site and for the time being we are keeping it simpler, because some bugs had crept in and Ishan had to spend a lot of time in cleaning those.

That’s a lovely contribution Ishan :). I can add the Smiley, but can’t add the Thumbs Up. Another thing is that in the text editor here at Comment section, there are no features, like Bold, Underline or Itallics and add a link etc. and in the main editor there are no options for Font Colour and Size. Can these be added? But I see that some of the pictures of this blog are showing up on the Home screen, if that can continue to happen, then that will be brilliant because we won’t have to depend upon a static set of pictures.
