Did Krshna Give Me Wakeup Call?

Every Janmasthami day,  I am reminded of how I got a wakeup call!  Read all about it again today!

My awakening came at last… I realized that all I was having was time travel… to be conscious of Krshna in my life!
Hare Krshnas who assemble, sing and dance at a temple, one block away from where I slept at a city hotel had already started the evening *Aarti.

*Aarti is part of a puja ritual to a god (revered guru, eminent persons included;) it could even be done to welcome home relative(s), son, daughter, newly married couple, coming to your home after long absence.  Aarti  is done with a Diya (wick lamp with a flame) placed on a plate/platter. The plate or platter is swung right to left once, then left to right, and finally clock wise in the puja ritual.

Initially, I had thoughts of visiting the ISKCON temple at Philadelphia to watch bewitching Krshnas dance to a crescendo of “Hare Krshna…Hare Rama… Hare Krshna, Hare Rama”… draped in their simple cotton saris and dhotis as if a millennium was about to end, and, another about to begin the same evening.

I changed my mind; thought of calling my friend Sumathy to see if she had tucked away any delicious Indian-sweets left over from the Krshna-birthday gathering she must have had at her place the previous evening.

LONDON - JULY 17: The cart festival called 'Rathayatra' in London July 17, 2016. Each cart is accompanied by a chanting party, dancing in sari on the street.

But, the lingering thought that I had to participate in a conference call next morning with my overseas IT-support team suddenly dawned on me.

So I opened up my email-box to see who was missing me. To my surprise and delight my overseas Director had declared office-holiday on account of Krshna’s birthday celebrations at our company branch office in India on the day I was to participate in the conference call.

I thanked Krshna for the extra day I was going to get to prepare my talk. I had much to say at that conference call.
My savior Krshna kept me awake that entire night! I could hear the non-stop “Hare_Krshna…Hare_Rama… Hare_Krshna…Hare_Rama” chanting that was getting into a crescendo.

I remembered reading somewhere that the ancient city of Dvarka (of thousands of years ago,) located then at the northwest corner of Gujarat State… where Krshna followers prospered for over a thousand years… collapsed and submerged into the Arabian sea due to some unknown catastrophic event.

My first thought was that this collapse of a civilization was ordered by Krshna himself as his followers were becoming decadent.

One can read about how Yadavas (cowherds of those times) frequently quarreled within themselves, abused women, children in  ancient puranic texts.

I surmised that Krshna Civilization, in all likelihood, submerged into sea around 2000 BCE, a thousand years after the demise of lord Krshna.

My rational mind wondered if historians could postulate and find the missing link (there must be one) between the lost Krshna-kingdom that many hindus believe existed and the Aegean Civilization of 1800 BCE timeframe that prevailed in and around the Aegean seas of Greece.

I felt desperate and could not sleep. I wanted to find a genetic link between peoples of Krshna-era at Dvarka, myself, and, the bewitching Krshnas engrossed in singing and dancing at the Hare Krshna temple at Philadelphia, USA!

Time-Life series of videotapes I had seen previously talk about Aegean mythology. About biblical floods that rose some 15,000 feet above sea level (ice age ending 12000 years back say, floods were only 400 feet above sea level,) making many large craters (from 8 to 10 miles in diameter) between the Aegean Sea and the Arabian Sea.

These Time-Life videotapes mention continuous eruptions and volcanic activity at present Crete-Islands, located south of Greece, in the Mediterranean Sea. These Time-Life video tapes also mention a library of preserved ancient artifacts maintained at Crete-Islands that show paintings of *Krshna-dasi lookalikes wearing bangles and neck chains that could have belonged to women from the Krshna era. I remember to have seen glossy pictures of such paintings in books and magazines published by ISKCON.

Old Testament and Biblical stories of that time mention hundreds of years of floods submerging thousands of miles of land in this region of geography.

Could it be that the entire landmass of Saudi Arabia was hundreds of feet below sea level at that time making sea routes possible between the Arabian, Persian, Mediterranean and Aegean Seas of that time?

Renowned oil explorers postulate that this indeed is a possibility and the entire landmass of Saudi Arabia suddenly emerged from the seas beneath, and it is now floating on an ocean of oil formed due to death and decay of carbohydrate matter of sea and land origin.

The transformation of decayed land-sea carbohydrate matter into hydrocarbon matter (oil) is thought to be due to a mysterious microbiological (anaerobic bacteria) degradation that removes (bacteria feeding itself on oxygenated molecules) to turn carbohydrates into hydrocarbons (oil) for the bacteria’s own survival!

(pic-2) Saudi Arabia between north-east Africa & southern Europe in Mediterranean region (an illustration from the net)

Did the city of Dvarka submerge into Arabian Sea at that time to compensate for loss of landmass under present Saudi land that emerged from the seas!?
In recent times there is evidence of emerging landmass from the seas!? I wondered.

If Bet Dvarka in Gujarat submerged in 2000 BCE could it be that some of my fore-fathers, men and women, animals and in fact two of every living kind survive these floods on boats or Arks resembling the Noah’s Ark mentioned in the Bible?

Could it be that one or many such Noah’s Arks remained floating for hundreds of years and reached Bahrain a tropical looking Island-paradise totally different from the nearby sandy deserts of Arabia?

Could it be that the men, women, animals, flora and fauna from the Noah’s Ark finally descended on the Island of Bahrain ending years of human existence on boats and Arks?

Could it be that Adam was an inhabitant of that beautiful island and met his Eve from the Ark that sailed from Dvarka and start the Aegean Civilization?      I wondered!

Tree of Life - Bahrain

It is amazing how land from ‘tropics’ with huge tree, emerged & joined desert ground in Bahrain!

It was nearing midnight. I could not sleep! I thought of reading the book I had bought a few days ago from an angel looking *Krshna-dasi at the temple.
I had paid five dollars for that book. She was ready to give it free to me. I wanted to make her believe that I bought books on Krshna all the time while all I was interested in, at the time I bought the book, was converse with her and watch her chiseled fingers and sculpted hands and face.

I opened the book. She had scribbled something on the first page of the book. The five dollars I spent on that book should pay me off tonight, I thought! I read with some difficulty her scribbled message to me. It read love and chant Hare Krshna. She had signed her name as Brinda dasi. Names raced through my brain at giga-byte speed. Datagrams started flowing through my hypothalamus. I started remembering female names that are common in both Eastern Indian and Western countries. I could come up with Shiela and Anita found in East as well as West… and the name Brinda flashed. Brinda is the name of my co-worker who had posted the ‘ftp-files’ on the main server at our company branch office in India. I was expected to download those ‘ftp-files’ from the branch office server to work on my project at USA.

The millennium time travel suddenly ended for me! The thought of work I had to do next day put me to deep slumber. I figured that human thoughts traveled faster than light. Wonder if Einstein ever had such mind boggling travels in his own time span!
*Krshna dasi ( female Krshna devotee)

I have an earlier version of this episode of mine published 9 to 10-yrs before this post in sulekha!

CONTENTS of ‘Jeyanthy ga’ blog:

2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq, was the cradle of civilization!
3. Noah built the ark in Iraq.
4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq.
5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq!
6. Isaac’s wife Rebekah is from Nahor, which is in Iraq.
7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq.
8. Jonah preached in Nineveh – which is in Iraq.
9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel.
10. Amos cried out in Iraq!
11. Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroyed Jerusalem.
12. Daniel was in the lion’s den in Iraq!
13. The three Hebrew children were in the fire in Iraq (Jesus had been in Iraq also as the fourth person in the fiery furnace!)
14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon saw the “writing on the wall” in Iraq.
15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jew captive into Iraq.
16. Ezekiel preached in Iraq.
17. The wise men were from Iraq.
18. Peter preached in Iraq.
19. The “Empire of Man” described in Revelation is called Babylon, which was a city in Iraq!

And you have probably seen this one. Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. But do you know which nation is second? It is Iraq!
However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible. The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia.
The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly, between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers.
The name Iraq, means country with deep roots. Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible.
Here’s why (References)
Eden was in Iraq – Genesis 2:10-14 2.

Adam & Eve were created in Iraq – Genesis 2:7-8 3.

Satan made his first recorded appearance in Iraq -Genesis 3:1-6 4.

Nimrod established Babylon & The Tower of Babel was built in Iraq – – Genesis 10:8-97; 11:1-4 5.

The confusion of the languages took place in Iraq – Genesis 11:5-11 6.

Abraham came from a city in Iraq – Genesis 11:31; Acts 7:2-4 7.

Isaac’s bride came from Iraq – Genesis 24:3-4; 10 8.

Jacob spent 20 years in Iraq – Genesis 27:42-45; 31:38 9.

The first world Empire was in Iraq – Daniel 1:1-2;2:36-38 10.

The greatest revival in history was in a city in Iraq – Jonah 3 11.

The events of the book of Esther took place in Iraq – Esther 12.

The book of Na! hum was a prophecy against a city in Iraq – Nahum 13.

The book or Revelation has prophecies against Babylon (Iraq’s former name).

Revelation 17 &18. No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated it than Iraq.
Additionally, this is something to think about! America is typically represented by an Eagle.

Saddam Hussein (former President of Iraq) should have read up on his Muslim passages in Quran…
The following verse is from the Quran, (Islamic Bible)

Quran (9:11) – For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.
(Note the verse number!)

Hello Sureshji- Some text has got duplicated. With thoughts of Krishna taking you on a global trip, sleeping was impossible. Whenever, one sits down to reflect upon, the origin of mankind and the life on earth, the thoughts that occur to one, I believe have to do with the stories fed to him when he was a child and despite all the knowledge that one gains, the childhood beliefs stay on top of them. I have always believed that Hinduism is indeed a Snatan ( Eternal) Dharma. From far east to far west, from time to time, we hear of findings, of some figurines and other artifact that indicate towards the existence of some form religion akin to Hinduism that had flourished there. I remember having seen a whatsapp video of a Hindu temple existing in Krgyztan. We also know that ISIS forced conversions on Yezidis, who have great similarities between their ritualistic practices and Hinduism. I also once saw a whatsapp forward of an Arbian Scholar whose research tends to prove that there was a Siva temple where now tower of Madina stands.
