यह आँसू मेरे, तुम्हारे

यह आँसू मेरे, तुम्हारे

कितना खुशनसीब हूँ मैं, तुम्हें यह बता नहीं सकता

मैं तुम्हारी ज़िंदगी में लौट कर तो आ नहीं सकता

लेकिन मैं उसे खूबसूरत बना सकता हूँ

और यही मैं करना चाहता हूँ

 

इसलिये जाने-अनजाने

परछाईं बन बगल में कभी

और कभी एहसास बन तुम्हारे सिरहाने

रात के अंधेरों में कभी

कभी दिन के उजालों में

मिलन की यादों में कभी

कभी बिछोड़े के कलालों में

चुपके से चला आता हूँ मैं तुम्हारे ख्यालों में

 

क्यों नहीं, कैसे नहीं, मेरे साथ ही क्यों जैसे

अनुत्तर सवालों के जवाब बनकर

महबूब मेरी, मैं जीता हूँ तुम्हारे ख्यालों में ख्वाब बनकर

और तुम्हारी आँखों से जब खुशी के, विवशता के,

असमर्थता के आँसू छलक जाते हैं

जब तुम्हें बचपन के वो लम्हें याद आते हैं

तो वहीं होता हूँ मैं तुम्हारी आँखों में, डरता

रहता तो हूँ तुम्हारी आँखों में चमक बनकर

लेकिन आँसू बन बह जाने को मेरा दिल नहीं करता

 

सच कहता हूँ बहुत हसीन हैं तुम्हारे आँसू

अच्छे लगते हैं बहुत, पर उन्हें मत गिराया करो

आया करो बन के ख्याल आँखों मे मेरी

पर मुझे मिलने का ख्वाब

अपनी आँखों में मत सजाया करो

 

जब लोग पूछते हैं, दुनियाँ में क्या सब से हसीं है

तो हस देता हूँ मैं

मुझे तो यह आँसू ही लगते सब से प्यारे हैं

मेरी आँखों से बहते तो हैं

पर ये आँसू तुम्हारे हैं

इन्हीं से तो हसीं है मेरी दुनियाँ

और फिर यह हैं भी तो ढेर सारे हैं
